Job Description

Insight Global's client is looking for a Product Owner to join their team located in India. The application is in the logistics area and measures the maturity of business processes. It's a global application used by different teams across the globe. Business process owners use the tool for self-assessment to score the maturity of business processes. If a business process score is less than 5 (out of 5), there should be a plan for improvement. If it's a 5, there should be a plan to maintain it at 5.

This is a hands-on role
Lead discussions on business requirements with business stakeholders/users and prioritization
Drive decisions on product features and capabilities
Lead quarterly PI Planning sessions
Organize business requirements in epics, features and user stories
Write user stories and acceptance criteria
Work closely with engineering team - Explain epics, features and user stories
Contribute to functional design of features and user stories
Perform UAT- Validate and approve deliverables prior to release to production
Collaborate with UX design team; Review and approve UX design
Support the product development team during Sprint development
Work closely with Scrum Master to ensure deliverables are tracked efficiently
Lead/participate in Agile ceremonies without failure – like Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews & Demos etc.
Ensure Sprint Plans are aligned with the quarterly PI goals
Provide inputs to user story estimations (story points)
Generate key health metrics to improve the overall team performance
Flag issues/risks as appropriate

Required Skills & Experience

-Minimum 10 years in overall IT experience
-At least 5 years of solid work experience as a Product Owner using Agile Methodology
-Strong skills in business requirement analysis and structuring requirements as features and user stories
-Strong ability to collaborate and communicate with business stakeholders/users as well as engineering team members
-Strong technical understanding around technologies like programming languages, databases, middleware, micro-services, cloud etc- understands technical overall. - Understanding how the front end is developed.
-Ability to promote innovative thinking while delivering product features
-Experience with Azure DevOps/Jira- They use JIRA
-Ability to effectively work in a diverse team environment and build strong working relationships
-Ability to act as a problem-solver, not just a problem identifier
-VERY IMPORTANT: Courage, confidence, strong sense of ownership, communication skills and strong leadership skills- working directly with the business leads. Not just order taker, lead discussion in the right direction.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Agile Product Owner certification is highly preferred
-Experience in Food & Beverage/CPG industry is desirable
