Job Description

This role focuses on acquisition marketing for a mass affluent audience, specifically attracting customers with ~$100K+ in investable assets to BMO. The work spans both strategy and execution, including defining the right value proposition, navigating investment decision drivers, and activating in‑person event opportunities. The role is 30% strategy and 70% execution, with flexibility to take on a greater strategic focus for candidates who demonstrate that experience. The Marketing Generalist will partner with the Consumer Acquisition team to develop offer strategy and execute campaigns that drive mass affluent and mass emergent customers to the bank. Responsibilities include recommending offer constructs, writing creative briefs, executing and reporting on direct mail and flyer programs, and supporting banker‑led acquisition efforts.

Required Skills & Experience

- 3-5 years of relevant experience and post-secondary degree in related field of study.
- Bachelor’s Degree in marketing, advertising or communications, or related field.
- Highly regulated industry (healthcare, finance, insurance) or worked for an agency with these industries (agency experience is a huge plus)
Problem solving in a compliance space from
- Have to have worked in digital marketing channels and front line sales support exposure (tactics for pitch books, creation of flyers, actions and equipping bankers to sell product)
- Marketing channels supporting: direct mail, flyer/frontline support for bankers, email, digital
- Product marketing background is preferred
- Strong experience in developing Marketing and Customer Communications plans.
- Strong track record of building and managing relationships and accounts with multiple stakeholders. Excellent verbal and written communication skills, preferred.
- Ability to proactively identify challenges and independently develop options and recommendations on how to solve them
- Deadline-driven. Exceptional project management skills and attention to detail are required. Advanced experience with Workfront or similar project management software highly preferred.
- Strong growth mindset, able to approach obstacles and challenges positively and with
- Results-driven: Adept at gathering and analyzing data to gain insight into what works, and develop recommendations to optimize marketing effectiveness.
- Comfortable working in constantly evolving, high growth environments; comfortable with ambiguity and agility of working in matrixed organizations.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Someone who has dealt with marketing activation events (College campus's, sports arenas, etc.)
- Banking/wealth management industry
- Product marketing background is preferred
- Salesforce marketing cloud
