Job Description

Managing Case Files and Documentation
Organize and maintain client files, medical records, accident reports, insurance correspondence, and litigation documents.
Ensure all records are up to date and properly filed for easy access by attorneys.
Obtaining and Reviewing Medical Records
Request medical records and billing statements from healthcare providers.
Summarize treatment histories, calculate damages, and identify key information relevant to the client's injury claim.
Drafting Legal Documents
Prepare pleadings, discovery requests and responses, subpoenas, settlement demands, and other litigation-related documents for attorney review.
Assist with filing documents in state and federal courts.
Coordinating with Clients, Insurance Carriers, and Medical Providers
Serve as a primary point of contact for clients regarding case status updates.
Communicate with insurance adjusters, medical providers, and opposing counsel to obtain information and facilitate case progression.
Supporting Litigation and Trial Preparation
Track deadlines, court dates, and discovery schedules.
Prepare exhibits, witness files, deposition materials, and trial binders to support attorneys during mediation, settlement conferences, and trial.

Required Skills & Experience

3-5+ years of paralegal experience at a PERSONAL INJURY law firm.
Strong end-to-end litigation experience (from handling claims to submitting court paperwork).
Proficient in Legal Files system or familiarity with other case management systems.
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
⁠Ability to juggle various assignments simultaneously (up to 80 files at a time) and work through complex instructions in a timely manner.
