Job Description
Insight Global's client is looking for an SAP S/4 Functional SME focused on Product Costing, Material Ledger, and Profitability Analysis. This role will partner closely with Finance, Manufacturing, Procurement, and IT teams to support ongoing S/4 initiatives, custom developments, testing, and post‑implementation support.
• Supporting Product Costing & Profitability Analysis within SAP S/4
• Working closely with technical consultants on design and enhancements
• Owning and maintaining functional documentation and custom development handoffs
• Sitting with business users to:
○ Support testing
○ Validate requirements
○ Coordinate defect resolution and re‑testing
• Acting as a liaison between:
○ Finance
○ Manufacturing & Procurement
○ IT / Architecture teams
• Supporting month‑end close activities and financial reporting
• Helping roadmap and modernize finance processes using automation and analytics
• Project Context
○ Ongoing SAP S/4 transformation and optimization
○ Continued business support post‑design phase
○ Scaling and standardizing digital finance initiatives globally

Required Skills & Experience
• 5+ years of hands‑on SAP S/4 experience
• Strong expertise in:
○ Product Costing
○ Material Ledger
○ Profitability Analysis
• Experience supporting:
○ SAP ↔ legacy system integrations
○ Finance month‑end close and reporting
○ End‑to‑end SAP project lifecycle
• Ability to:
○ Translate business requirements into functional/technical design
○ Lead testing cycles and business sign‑off
○ Partner with technical teams
• Strong communication skills for cross functional collaboration
Power BI or Tableau (for navigation, testing, and validation)
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
• CPG or Manufacturing industry experience
• SAP certifications (S/4 Finance, CO, etc.)
• Comfort working in global, matrixed environments
Prior ECC → S/4 migration experience
