Job Description

Our client is a telecommunications organization that supports the hospitality industry, primarily hotels, across the US, the Caribbean Islands, and Canada. They are seeking a Hospitality Field Engineer to join their team due to the influx of work at the organization. The Hospitality Field Engineer will partner with a project manager, the hotel property, the service delivery engineer, and other engineers to implement/install equipment including switches, routers, firewalls, gateway appliances, wireless equipment, and a minor element of servers. Any leadership experience would be advantageous as the Hospitality Field Engineer may be required to lead the crew of contracted technicians assisting at the site.

They try to pre-configure as much equipment on the front end as possible, but the Hospitality Field Engineer will be responsible for configuring the equipment, installing the equipment, working work with the hotel to migrate all services to the new network, creating documentation, conducting wireless testing for post-installation, and running wireless reports to identify any issues. Once the installation process is complete, the Hospitality Field Engineer will hand off the project to their support team.

Travel:

This role requires 75-100% travel across the US, the Caribbean Islands, and possibly Canada. The company will provide expense guidance and a company card. For travel, they can expense flights, rent a car, or choose to do mileage reimbursement for closer sites. Typical projects/site visits are 1-2 weeks long and management does their best to break up the schedules between the technicians to allow them a break, a few weeks on and a week off.
