Job Description

Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
Proven experience as a DevOps Engineer or similar role, with a strong focus on automation using Python.
Proficiency in scripting languages, particularly Python.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or CircleCI.
Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and orchestration tools like Kubernetes.
Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP) and services.
Strong understanding of networking, security, and system administration.
Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
Strong communication and collaboration skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with monitoring and logging tools like Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack.
Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git.
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and practices.

Responsibilities:
Design, develop, and maintain automation scripts and tools using Python to improve the efficiency and reliability of our CI/CD pipelines.
Collaborate with development, QA, and operations teams to ensure seamless integration and deployment of applications.
Implement and manage infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools like Terraform, Ansible, or similar.
Monitor system performance, troubleshoot issues, and optimize infrastructure for scalability and reliability.
Develop and maintain documentation for automation processes and tools.
Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices to continuously improve our DevOps practices.

SL1 (ScienceLogic) API and alert handling
Health checks and self-healing logic
Logging, metrics collection (Elastic, Prometheus, etc., optional)
ITSM / Integration:
ServiceNow API (for Change/Incident creation)
CMDB integration and updates
Dynamic inventory synchronization
DevOps & Systems Knowledge:
Linux systems administration (for hardened automation servers)
Networking fundamentals (IP management, DNS, subnetting)
RESTful API design and usage
Analytical & Support Skills:
Configuration drift detection and reconciliation
Data validation and transformation
Troubleshooting automated workflows
Documentation and ongoing support planning

Benefit packages for this role will start on the 31st day of employment and include medical, dental, and vision insurance, as well as HSA, FSA, and DCFSA account options, and 401k retirement account access with employer matching.
