We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Data Governance Project Manager to join our Wealth Management division. This role is responsible for implementing and managing data governance processes aligned with our established data governance policy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in financial services or banking, with hands-on experience in data defect management, metadata, and data quality tracking.
Key Responsibilities:
Design, implement, and manage data governance processes to support the Wealth Management business line.
Collaborate with data owners, stewards, and business stakeholders to ensure adherence to data governance standards and best practices.
Lead data defect management initiatives, including identification, tracking, resolution, and root cause analysis.
Develop and maintain dashboards and metrics to monitor data quality and governance KPIs using Power BI.
Build and manage a centralized data repository to support data lineage, metadata, and critical data elements.
Work closely with IT and business teams to ensure proper metadata management and documentation.
Support audits and regulatory reporting by ensuring data governance processes are well-documented and traceable.
Facilitate training and awareness sessions on data governance practices across the Wealth Management organization.

Proven experience in data governance process development within banking or financial services.
Strong understanding of data defect management and data quality frameworks.
Proficiency in Power BI, SQL, and metadata management tools.
Experience building and maintaining data repositories and data lineage documentation.
Demonstrated ability to track and report on critical data elements and governance metrics.
Excellent project management, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills.
Experience working with critical data in a regulated environment.
Familiarity with wealth management products, services, and data structures.
Knowledge of data governance tools such as Collibra, Informatica, or Alation is a plus.
PMP or other project management certification is a plus.
