Job Description

The Sr. Design & Front-End Planning PM will develop expertise in the Design & Front-End Planning operations of the Data Center Build Management (DCBM) team and provide critical support across the AMERs AI Inferencing data center portfolio in the management of lessor engagement, design management and crucial pipeline management activities in tandem with DCBM project managers. This role is critical in support of DCBMs Integration & Technical Infrastructure Manager (ITIM) and Lease Construction Management (LCM) functions, as you will be a key contributor in establishing and managing Front-End processes that maximize effectiveness and resource efficiency across our PMs in the field.
With respect to organizational values and project management methodology, the Sr. Design & Front-End Planning PM will support and oversee a high volume of projects through pre-design, design, construction coordination, procurement and other pipeline management activities. ITIMs through the execution of AI and commercial cloud datacenter construction projects with process documentation and learning resources to drive valuable improvements in cost, time and quality to market.


Job Responsibilities:
Support pre-design discussions with lessors to provide clarity to our design requirements and timelines.
Coordinate design scope of services and kickoff calls with internal and external partners.
Ensure agreed upon design timelines and costs are accurately reflected in the lease agreement.
Manage review of design and bill of materials with the support of our partner teams.
Manage and prioritize responsibilities such as collaboration with project managers and cross functional teams, development of documentation and training resources, and organizing learning sessions across the team.
Coordinate with lateral partner teams such as DCE, GSC, and trade partners on design functions such as RFI and design change management. This starts before construction and continues through execution.
Implement and maintain program management resources with periodic updates, and revision control.
Ensure appropriate systems development and project management processes are being utilized

Required Skills & Experience

+5 years of experience of Data Center Program/Project Management- management of data center fit outs

Experience managing a high volume of projects through pre-design, design, construction coordination, procurement and other pipeline management activities

Proven track record of on time project delivery, quality design, timely closure of RFIs, timely follow ups with managers

Engineering background

Strong organizational skills and communication skills

Able to work EST
