Insight Global is looking for a Data Center Technician to join one of our largest Healthcare clients. He/She will be responsible for coordinating day-to-day cabling requests (Patches, Moves, Adds and Changes) to meet service goals and day to day operations. Service Requests, incidents and tasks are logged and distributed within the ITSM tool (Heat/Ivanti) on a daily basis. He/She will assist in the monitoring and management of our BDF/IDFs within and outside all needed locations. This includes: cable management, installation and repair, assembling work order packages for cabling vendors, managing to completion and close out of work orders issued to vendors and provide troubleshooting assistance and emergency coverage (including outside of normal working hours.). This involves managing inventory of assets in IDF/BDFs data center, updating rack elevations, and supporting of devices through use of tools and automate. This role will work directly with the Structured Cabling team and assist with any ongoing ticketing, troubleshooting or incidents.
