Job Description
Insight Global’s client is seeking a hands-on Python Developer to join their Developer Experience (DevEx) team. This is a 100% hands-on coding role, focused on building tools and platforms that improve the overall developer experience by increasing productivity and reducing manual effort.
In this role, the developer will work on dashboards and AI-driven initiatives designed to help teams build software more efficiently. A key objective is to accelerate development cycles and streamline workflows by eliminating unnecessary manual steps.
The dashboards will track DORA metrics, requiring the developer to pull and aggregate data from multiple sources and translate it into meaningful, actionable insights. Strong analytical skills are essential, as the role involves identifying gaps in development performance—for example, understanding why one team takes 40 days to deliver a feature while another completes it in just 10 days.
This analysis will be used to uncover root causes, highlight improvement opportunities, and support data-driven decision-making for leadership.

-7-10 years of total development experience
-5 years of Python Development
-Strong in Database - postgres specifically
-Cloud experience (they use GCP)- understanding of how to deploy, they will train on cloud experience if their experience is AWS/Azure.
-4 to 6 years CI/CD - (Jenkins/ArgoCD)
-2 to 4 years -Power BI/Tableau - Designing and deployment -
-SQL experience
-Github Actions
-Jira - Agile experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
-AI and ML
-Java experience
-Testing experience, Cursor or Claude- Unit tests will be generated by tools like Cursor and Cloud
