Job Description

Insight Global is looking for a Materials Manager for a permanent/direct-hire opportunity that will sit 100% onsite in Boise, ID. They will be responsible for building material management plans for a large $300M project. This manager will oversee the inventory, storage, and distribution of materials, spare parts, and consumables required for water and wastewater treatment operations. This role will ensure proper stock management, timely availability for items, and adherence to company quality/safety standards. Key Responsibilities:
o Inventory/Materials Management
○ Maintain accurate records of incoming and outgoing materials, chemicals, consumables, and spare parts.
○ Implement FIFO/FEFO practices, especially for chemicals and perishable materials.
○ Conduct regular stock verification and cycle counts to avoid discrepancies.
o Procurement & Coordination
○ Coordinate with procurement and operations teams for material requisitions.
○ Ensure timely issue of materials to maintenance and project teams.
○ Assist in vendor coordination for deliveries and returns.
o Storage & Safety
○ Ensure proper storage conditions for chemicals and sensitive equipment as per MSDS guidelines.
○ Maintain housekeeping, labeling, and safety standards in the store.
○ Monitor shelf life and ensure safe disposal of expired items.
o Documentation & Systems
○ Update SAP/store management system with real-time stock data.
○ Prepare and submit periodic stock reports to management.
○ Maintain documentation for audits (ISO, safety, or client requirements).
o Team & Compliance
○ Supervise helpers/store assistants for smooth daily operations.
○ Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards.
○ Support internal and external audits.

Required Skills & Experience

3–6 years of experience of in a supply chain/logistics role
Materials Management experience for large Construction projects
Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Operations, or similar
ERP experience (SAP Preferred)
Familiarity with chemical handling and safety protocols.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Semiconductor Industry experience
Experience in water treatment, chemical, or industrial sector
Lean Six-Sigma (Black Belt, Green Belt, etc)
