Job Description

A client of Insight Global is looking for a NOC Technician to sit fully onsite at Pearl Harbor, HI. This role is responsible for supporting day-to-day network operations within a mission-critical environment, including the configuration, monitoring, analysis, and troubleshooting of customer circuits across optical transport systems, multiplexers, routers, and switches. They will perform real-time circuit restoration and alternate routing during planned and unplanned outages to maintain customer connectivity and minimize operational impact. Responsibilities include proactively monitoring network performance and alarms, executing hardware and software changes, managing service-impacting incidents, and documenting all troubleshooting and resolution activities. The position works closely with internal teams, government agencies, and customers to ensure maximum network availability while assessing and resolving complex issues.

Compensation:

$40/hr to $45/hr.

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

• Active TSSCI
• Security+ or equivalent
• Bachelors and 4 years of experience in networking
• Must be willing to support all 3 shifts of a 24x7 operation
• Experience monitoring, troubleshooting, and restoring transport and IP network services to maintain maximum uptime.
• Experience performing circuit reroutes and outage recovery during planned and unplanned network disruptions.
• Ability to manage network alarms, incidents, and change activities including hardware and software updates.
• Utilize Cisco, Juniper, MPLS, optical transport, and related networking technologies in a 24x7 operational environment.
