One of Insight Globals major clients are seeking a SCADA Engineer to assist with an ongoing RTU (remote terminal unit) transition project across all statewide substation assets. General responsibilities include:
Configure new RTUs to meet utility standards.
Perform bench testing and factory acceptance testing (FAT).
Validate communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, IEC 60870, etc.).
Integrate RTUs with the SCADA master system.
Update SCADA databases and HMI displays to reflect new RTU data points.
Ensure accurate telemetry and control functionality.
Coordinate with field crews for RTU installation and commissioning.
Troubleshoot communication or wiring issues on-site or remotely.
Verify point-to-point testing between RTUs and SCADA.

Existing familiarity with RTU (remote terminal unit) reconfiguration
Familiarity with various substation communication protocols (DNP3, Modbus, IEC 60870, etc.).
Prior experience supporting an electric utility/energy provider
Bachelors degree
