Job Description

One of Insight Globals major clients are looking to add a drafter to their design services team. The selected candidate will be responsible for 2D and 3D CAD drafting, materials catalog management, and other administrative tasks as assigned. Day to day responsibilities include:

Converting 2D substation AutoCAD drawings to 3D drawings
Working with engineering team on drawing redlines
Tracking materials in materials catalog (in-house asset management system is Maximo)
Ad hoc administrative/data entry task

Required Skills & Experience

Ideally 10+ years of experience within 2D and 3D drafting
Experience with AutoCAD and some sort of 3D design tool (Autodesk Inventor, Revit, etc.)
Willingness to learn Maximo asset management system (if unfamiliar)
Ability to be flexible with task, take on new responsibilities, and be a team-player

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Associates degree/Technical diploma
Prior utility experience or familiarity with substations/transmission assets
