Job Description

The Senior Accountant will support accounting and financial reporting for rapidly expanding development and construction operations. This role partners closely with Construction, Development, FP&A, and Operations teams to ensure accurate project cost tracking, capitalization, and reporting.

This is a hands-on role for a technically strong accountant with construction or project-based accounting experience. The position operates in a fast-paced, high-growth environment and plays a key role in job cost accounting, capital expenditure tracking, and GAAP compliance for construction-in-progress and fixed assets across multiple states.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
4 to 7+ years of progressive accounting experience
Experience with construction, development, or project-based accounting
Strong understanding of GAAP related to fixed assets, capitalization, and CIP
Experience improving processes
ERP system experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

CPA license or active CPA candidate
Master’s degree in Accounting
Public accounting or audit experience (specifically in construction industry)
Viewpoint Spectrum experience
