This role will require individual to drive throughout state of GA conducting construction Package validation ( QA/QC )
o Looking over designs and doing a lot of Walk downs
Review engineering designs during scoping and engineering phases to ensure that Georgia Powers design practices are followed.
Provide necessary input to contract engineers during scoping and detail engineering to optimize the financial and reliability impacts of Grid projects.
Review construction prints and JETS estimates to ensure projects are being estimated accurately.
Optimize project designs to reduce project and program costs and improve reliability.

Provide leadership during storm events, as needed.

Distribution line Design QC experience ( Not substation)
Former experience as a Distribution Lineman or Field engineer
Clean driving record
Extensive experience reviewing and interpreting distribution construction drawings and estimating costs.
Working knowledge of the National Electric Safety Code (NESC) is preferred.
A minimum of 5 years of distribution experience is preferred.
Extensive knowledge of Georgia Powers operating procedures is preferred.
A bachelor's degree in engineering or a related field is preferred,
Experience with relevant systems is preferred (i.e., TCMS, ARCOS, JETS, CSS, ARMS, and DISTVIEW).
