Job Description

We’re partnering with a global leader in building technologies to hire an HVAC Smart Buildings Account Executive to support the Atlanta metro market. This role focuses on selling large, bundled smart building solutions—not one off products—across new construction, major renovations, and owner driven projects.
This is an ideal opportunity for a seasoned construction or building technology sales professional who thrives in long cycle, high dollar pursuits, enjoys working early in the design phase, and brings strong relationships with owners, GCs, and engineering partners.

What You’ll Be Doing
• Lead sales efforts for integrated smart building solutions, including HVAC controls, BAS, automation, fire/life safety, security, and low voltage systems
• Sell large bundled projects (equipment + controls), not transactional products
• Engage early in the design, plan & spec, and design build phases to influence project scope and solution strategy
• Work directly with building owners, developers, architects, engineers, and executive level contractors
• Manage a small number of large, complex construction pursuits at a time
• Partner closely with internal engineering and design teams to deliver turnkey solutions
• Build and grow long term owner and contractor relationships that generate repeat business
• Prepare and present proposals, estimates, and value based solutions in competitive environments
This role is not limited to new buildings—significant business comes through existing owner accounts, including renovations, expansions, and major construction events.

Required Skills & Experience

• 5+ years of sales experience
• Minimum 3 years selling building controls, BAS, HVAC controls, or energy solutions
• Strong understanding of the construction lifecycle and long cycle sales processes
• Experience selling in plan & spec and/or design build environments
• Proven ability to manage complex, high dollar sales cycles
• Comfort selling to executive level stakeholders
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, Architecture, or equivalent experience

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

• Experience selling building automation, BAS, DDC, HVAC controls, or integrated smart building solutions
• Existing relationships with Atlanta area owners, GCs, engineers, or consultants
• Experience selling to higher education, healthcare, or large commercial verticals
• Familiarity with Facility Explorer, Tridium, Distech, Andover, or similar platforms
