Job Description

We are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer specializing in power distribution to lead technical initiatives, oversee complex electrical projects, and drive innovation within our engineering team. This role requires deep expertise in electrical power systems, distribution networks, and regulatory compliance. The ideal candidate will provide leadership in designing, implementing, and optimizing power distribution infrastructure while ensuring reliability, efficiency, and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
Technical Leadership: Develop and oversee the design, planning, and execution of power distribution projects.

System Optimization: Analyze and improve electrical distribution networks for efficiency and reliability.

Regulatory Compliance: Ensure adherence to industry standards, safety codes, and environmental regulations.

Project Management: Collaborate with stakeholders, manage budgets, and oversee project timelines.

Research & Development: Stay ahead of industry advancements and integrate innovative technologies.

Mentorship & Training: Guide junior engineers, provide technical expertise, and foster team development.

Stakeholder Communication: Coordinate with utility companies, government agencies, and clients.

Risk Assessment: Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies for infrastructure projects.

Required Skills & Experience

Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.

10+ years of experience in power distribution engineering.

Extensive knowledge of electrical grid systems, transmission lines, substations, and distribution networks.

Proficiency in industry software such as AutoCAD, ETAP, or PLS-CADD.

Strong understanding of NEC, IEEE, and NESC regulations.

Demonstrated leadership in managing engineering teams and large-scale projects.

Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
