Job Description

Create and update design drawings for electrical distribution systems using CAD and GIS software.
Assist in developing construction work packages, including material lists, cost estimates, and technical documentation.
Interpret utility standards, maps, and field data to support accurate design solutions.
Conduct site visits to collect field data, verify existing infrastructure, and support design validation.
Collaborate with internal teams and utility clients to ensure designs meet project specifications and safety standards.
Maintain organized records of design files, revisions, and project documentation.

Required Skills & Experience

Associates degree in Engineering Technology, Drafting & Design, or a related technical field; or
High school diploma with relevant technical training or experience in design/drafting.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, MicroStation, or GIS-based design tools.
Strong attention to detail and ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications.
Effective communication and teamwork skills.
Willingness to travel locally for field assessments and data collection.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Internship or hands-on experience in utility design or construction.
Understanding of electrical distribution systems and construction practices.
Experience with work management systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP) is a plus.
