Job Description
A partner of Insight Global is looking to add a Device Engineer to their team. This person will be responsible for the overall efficiency and yield of the product line. Their main responsibilities include the analysis and improvement of the existing cell parameters including but not limited to efficiency, fill factor, defectivity, yield, and scrap. The job requires a significant amount of data analysis to identify correlations and opportunities for improvement. This role interfaces with other disciplines within the facility including process engineering, equipment engineering, quality, production and supply chain. The role requires a blend of technical expertise, analytical skills as well as the ability to work with cross functional teams and organize and present results in a clear and compelling way.

Required Skills & Experience
● Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, or related with focus on solid state physics
● 3 to 5 years of relevant work experience in semiconductor device analysis, solar cell production, or related
● Strong working knowledge of the physics of solar cells and their associated manufacturing processes including operational sensitivities
● Strong analytical skills with the proven ability to collect and analyze data to make informed data based decisions.
● Knowledge of problem solving techniques such as 8D problem solving, 5-Whys, Fishbone diagrams, DMAIC, etc.
● Design of Experiments for process optimization and problem solving
● Familiarity with statistics and statistical process control systems (SPC)
● Strong communication skills both written and oral to convey information across organizations and to upper management
● Ability to work well with others in a collaborative team environment
● Ability to multi-task and manage several projects and demands simultaneously
● Attention to detail
