Job Description

Insight Global is looking for an Environmental Engineer for a large engineering consulting firm in Macon, GA. Day to day responsibilities include the following:
Conduct and support environmental site investigations and remediation projects
Perform hazardous response and brownfield remediation work
Act as a technical mentor and teacher to junior site investigation and remediation staff
Maintain and leverage relationships with regulatory agencies (EPD, EPA)
Prepare, review, and finalize technical environmental reports
Participate in marketing efforts and industry conferences
Progress through the Terracon Approved Project Reviewer (APR) Program to review and sign off on reports locally in the Macon office (currently outsourced)
Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in related field (Environmental Science, Environmental Engineering, Earth Science, Geology, Etc.)
PE License (ideally in state of GA but can get it transferred if not)
Proven experience with:
Environmental site investigations
Brownfield projects
Hazardous response and remediation
Tank programs/tank pools
Established working relationships with EPD and EPA
Ability and desire to mentor junior staff

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Master's Degree in related field
Existing professional network within regulatory or environmental spaces
