Job Description

Insight Global is seeking a Data Center Operations Technician to support one of our largest data center clients. The ideal candidate will have a high school diploma or equivalent, with additional technical trade school education in mechanical, electrical, or electronics. Preferred certifications include EPA, OSHA 10, First Aid/CPR, NFPA-70E (Arc Flash), and Data Center University. The technician must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in HVAC related roles. Key responsibilities include maintaining HVAC systems supporting the servers within the data center, troubleshooting issues, and collaborating with vendors and contractors.

Required Skills & Experience

Entry level experience in HVAC (commercial or residential)
Proficiency with multimeters
Experience with HVAC systems (troubleshooting experience is a plus)
Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems
Experience handling service calls
Basic knowledge of electrical and mechanical systems used in data centers, including:
Electrical feeders, transformers, generators, switchgear
UPS systems, DC power systems, ATS/STS units, PDU units
Breakers, batteries, load bank connections
CRACs, air handling units, fluid coolers, pumps, cages
Fire suppression systems

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- HVAC Certification from an accredited school
- Experience in a data center environment
- Experience troubleshooting and installing HVAC systems
