Forms Developer

Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying a Dynamic Forms Developer to support a high‑specialty custom development team working with enterprise‑level clients in the energy and compliance industry. This group builds advanced, logic‑heavy digital forms that automate complex requirements—often involving hundreds to thousands of potential outcomes per question. This new role was created due to mounting demand and is intended to offload work from software developers who no longer has the bandwidth to build forms. The ideal candidate will blend advanced formula logic expertise, UX awareness, and the ability to interpret large, complex requirements documents into clear, structured, digital forms. This position works 20–40 hours per week depending on the workload and collaborates directly with internal stakeholders and external enterprise customers.

Key responsibilities:
Form Development & Logic Execution
· Build complex, dynamic, and highly structured forms using a proprietary PHP/JavaScript‑based WYSIWYG form system.
· Translate spreadsheets of requirements, logic documents, and conditional workflows into functional, automated forms.
· Develop advanced conditional logic, branching paths, and intelligent follow‑up questions.
· Configure repeating data structures, nested logic blocks, and object‑based properties within forms.
· Update and enhance existing forms as compliance or business rules change.
· Test to ensure accuracy and consistency across form layouts, field types, and UX flow.
User Experience / Interaction Design
· Create clean, intuitive form layouts that reduce user confusion and fatigue.
· Apply UX best practices such as progressive disclosure, clear labeling, and effective error handling.
· Collaborate with stakeholders to design forms that are both powerful and user‑friendly.
Client Interaction & Requirements Translation
· Consult with enterprise customers to understand highly detailed compliance or business processes.
· Ask clarifying questions to uncover edge cases, exceptions, and logic dependencies.
Document form logic flows, formulas, and decision trees.

· Expert‑level Excel formula knowledge, particularly:
o Complex nested IF statements
o Conditional logic (AND/OR/NOT, IFS)
o Text manipulation & parsing
o Date/time calculations
o Multi‑layered logic flows
o Understanding of formula evaluation hierarchy
· Experience translating large requirements spreadsheets into structured logic.
· Strong analytical thinking and ability to manage high‑volume logic paths (100–1000+ outcomes per question).
· Comfortable working directly with clients and SMEs to clarify requirements.
· Strong eye for UX consistency, layout structure, and user guidance.
Ability to work 20–40 hours per week depending on project load.

· Background with form‑building platforms (like servicenow forms, saleforce forms, MS power apps, Formstack, JotForm, Typeform)
· Experience with data modeling, structured data systems, UX or technical writing, User testing or usability research
Prior experience building forms in industries with heavy compliance, rules‑based logic, or complex calculations.
