This job is in the Transmission Support Team (Relay Support). This position will be filled as a Non-Exempt position in the Protection & Control Field Services Engineer/Technician family, with the pay and level commensurate with the qualifications, education, and experience of the successful candidate. The successful candidate will be responsible for Protection & Control (P&C) field services (Test Engineering) support activities within the Georgia Power service territory. Safety and Quality are paramount in this position. The successful candidate will be expected to apply switching procedures and safety measures as appropriate. In addition, the successful candidate must plan and complete projects safely, efficiently, on schedule, and without service interruptions.

- 4 years of P&C Field Services (Test Engineering) experience required.
- Electric power utility transmission operations, maintenance, or construction experience.
- Related substation experience (P&C Applications, Design, Construction, Major Equipment, Project Management, etc.)
- Hands-on experience in testing, commissioning, and maintaining relaying and control equipment
- Experience using test equipment such as voltmeters, ammeters, ohmmeters, communications instruments, and computerized relay test sets
- Significant Electromechanical Protection Relay testing and calibration experience
- Significant Transmission Protection Relaying background
- Pilot relaying commissioning/trouble shooting skills
- Understanding of Fault Data equipment
