Job Description

The Senior CAD Designer develops the primary 3D CAD models and drawing packages for complex Invar tooling, serving as the technical CAD lead and baseline design owner.
Responsibilities include:
Create and maintain detailed 3D CAD models of Invar layup molds and substructures
Drive reuse strategies across multiple tool variants to support parallel delivery
Develop fabrication‑ready drawings including machined components, weldments, and assemblies
Apply GD&T, weld symbols, and manufacturing notes consistent with customer standards
Coordinate with the Lead Tooling Engineer to resolve design intent and review feedback
Support DXF generation and flattening strategies for rolled/formed facesheets

Required Skills & Experience

6–10+ years of mechanical CAD experience (SolidWorks / NX / CATIA or similar)
Demonstrated experience with welded structures and large mechanical assemblies
Aerospace or heavy industrial tooling background preferred
Strong understanding of manufacturing documentation and release practices
