Job Description

Provide 1st and 2nd Level Database support for in-house solutions and SQL-based production systems. Proactively check the monitoring systems and
resolve alerts, Incidents, requests, and other requests from Senior DBAs.
Analysis and resolution of performance problems (Memory, CPU, Block of tables, queries) using SSMS and monitoring tools.
Create documentation for internal undocumented processes. Maintain up to date the existing documentation to reflect the current best practices
Create/Modify new/existing SSIS packages depending on the requirements and also must be able to understand the complexity of the code and make changes accordingly to get any business issues resolved.
Ensures optimum performance of these database objects and queries by analyzing to be able to find the root cause of the issues.
Collaborates with project teams in all aspects of product evaluations, design review, data requirements and application development projects.
Recommends and evaluates software and hardware solutions.
Manages, supports and tests the application connectivity to the applicable database(s) and deployment of database application code.
Assists developers in the tuning of SQL statements to reduce the response time for users and reduce the resources used
Provides 24/7 on-call support as needed, solutions and guidance for database related application(s) inquiries, requests and problems.

Compensation Range: $50/hr to $55/hr

Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree required in Information Technology, computer Science or related discipline
8+ years or more relevant experience in SQL Server, including versions 2016 and later required
8+ years or more thorough knowledge of SQL and database development/programming experience required
8+ years or more experience with monitoring and diagnostic tools preferred.
8+ years or more T-SQL and database schema design required.
8+ years or more Strong SSIS development skills.
Outstanding communication, problem-solving and analytical skills.
Understands IT Operations, ITIL, CI/CD and agile methodologies required.
