Job Description:
The primary responsibility of the Product Line Manager is to oversee sales, profit, new product vitality, and customer experience metrics and targets for assigned product families. This role will develop a comprehensive three-year business strategy and annual business plans and ensure the successful achievement of plans. The Product Line Manager will lead synthesis of market and competitive dynamics, business performance assessment, and customer requirements to develops product, application, and go-to-market strategies. Additionally, the Product Line Manager will collaborate under a shared service model within and outside the Product Line and Marketing department, including various areas such as sales, channel marketing, branding, engineering, pricing, product operations, finance, quality, and S&OP.

Day-to-day:
Acts as business owner for product family by understanding, articulating, and owning the financial impact for portfolio decisions and ensures alignment with strategic direction from the business.
Develops a three-year strategic and annual operating plan through informed and validated insights.
Translates strategy, customer, and market needs into a multi-year product roadmap including a detailed 1-year plan with validated business cases focusing on the right opportunities.
Achieves annual financial and other targets, such as sales, profit, new product vitality, brand awareness, customer experience metrics, inventory management, PIM accuracy and customer feedback.
Identifies and serves as a subject matter expert on big-picture market drivers, challenges, competitors, customers, Voice of Customer, Voice of Technician, and the overall business environment through ongoing collection and interpretation of market data.
Leads regular business review meetings identifying opportunities, challenges, and corrective actions.
Utilizes market intelligence to recommend pricing strategies and implement price adjustments in collaboration with pricing team.
Provides and collaborates with marketing (channel, brand, digital) on product portfolio, new products, target segments, and value propositions to enable effective creation of sales enablement tools, marketing assets, and campaigns.
Follows and supports Product Development Stage Gate Process and Product Line Management process to generate new product concepts, business cases, and market strategy ensuring projects meet company objectives.
Collaborates with SIOP (Sale, Inventory, and Operations Planning) to align a unified plan for meeting customer demand while optimizing inventory levels and production capabilities while maintaining required business goals for inventory management.
Performs other duties as assigned

Required Skills & Experience

Must Haves:
Bachelors degree in Business Administration or related field
7 - 9 years of experience in industrial product management focused on individuals with building products, industrial components, or chemicals experience
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite or similar computer software
Experience working in a fast paced and high-volume work environment
Proactive self-starter with a strong attention to detail
Proficient in developing business cases suggesting specific product requirements and market potential
Demonstrates a results-oriented approach
Ability to work with a sense of urgency and under deadlines with accuracy
Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, enabling effective interaction with employees on all levels, including executive leadership

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Plusses:
Masters in Business Administration
HVACR, mechanical, electrical, appliance, equipment, or building product experience
Chemicals experience!!!!!
