Job Description

We are seeking a hands-on Quality Engineer to support quality and reliability across a large-scale data center environment. This role will partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and Inventory teams to ensure hardware, processes, and procedures meet quality standards from deployment through ongoing operations.


-Own site quality activities and ensure quality standards are followed during equipment deployment, commissioning, and ongoing operations.
-Manage nonconforming materials, including inspections, quarantines, disposition activities, and return processes.
-Perform incoming inspections on servers, components, racks, and critical spare parts.
-Lead root cause investigations and corrective actions using tools such as 8D, 5 Why, and Fishbone Analysis.
-Conduct process audits and quality checks to verify compliance with established procedures.
-Maintain and improve SOPs, work instructions, quality documentation, and training records.
-Track and report key quality metrics, including defect trends, CAPAs, audit findings, and return material activity.
-Partner with Operations, Engineering, Supply Chain, and --Program teams to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
-Drive continuous improvement initiatives to reduce defects, improve efficiency, and minimize operational risk.

Required Skills & Experience

-Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
-3+ years of experience in Quality Engineering, Manufacturing Quality, Supplier Quality, or Hardware Quality.
-Experience supporting data centers, server hardware, electronics manufacturing, or large-scale hardware operations.
-Knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS), ISO 9001 principles, CAPA, change control, and document control.
-Experience with root cause analysis, corrective actions, and problem-solving methodologies.
-Familiarity with inspection methods, AQL sampling, basic statistical analysis, and quality metrics.
-Comfortable using ERP, ticketing, quality systems, spreadsheets, and reporting tools.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience with servers, GPUs, data center infrastructure, networking equipment, or high-performance computing hardware.
-Lean, Six Sigma Green Belt, ASQ, or similar quality certification.
-Experience with PFMEA, Control Plans, and audit programs.
