We are seeking a motivated and field-ready Distribution Engineer with at least one year of experience in the power industry to support the design, analysis, and implementation of electrical distribution systems. This role combines office-based engineering work with regular field visits to ensure accurate design execution and system reliability. Candidates must be comfortable working outdoors and collaborating with field crews, clients, and internal teams.
Design and analyze overhead and underground electrical distribution systems in compliance with utility standards and safety regulations.
Conduct field assessments to gather data, verify existing infrastructure, and support design validation.
Prepare construction work packages including design drawings, material specifications, and cost estimates.
Collaborate with utility clients, project managers, and construction teams to ensure project goals are met.
Support grid modernization, system upgrades, and resiliency initiatives across Southern Georgia.
Maintain accurate documentation and participate in quality assurance reviews.

Minimum of 1 year of experience in the power distribution or utility industry.
Associates degree in Electrical Engineering Technology, Civil Engineering Technology, or a related field.
Strong understanding of electrical distribution systems and construction practices.
Proficiency with design tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, or GIS-based platforms.
Comfortable working in the field and traveling locally for site visits.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
Experience working with utility clients in Georgia or the Southeast region.
Familiarity with work management systems (e.g., Maximo, SAP).
Knowledge of NESC, local permitting processes, and utility design standards.
