Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Accounting Manager to join a collaborative, fully remote team supporting enterprise-level accounting and financial reporting functions. This role has contract-to-hire potential and best suited for someone who can quickly get up to speed in a fast-moving environment while balancing hands-on accounting work with people leadership. The position is with a leading infrastructure construction and engineering firm in North America, known for its expertise in designing and building critical infrastructure such as highways, bridges, rail systems, dams, aviation facilities, and water management project. The Accounting Manager will oversee core accounting operations, support financial reporting, and partner closely with internal stakeholders across the organization. Candidates with experience in large corporate environments, construction accounting, or public accounting are strongly preferred. While the role is fully remote, candidates located in or near Atlanta, GA are preferred. On a day-to-day basis, the Accounting Manager will manage and support a small team of one to two direct reports while remaining actively involved in accounting operations. This role will oversee financial reporting, month-end close activities, reconciliations, and the use of SAP or other ERP systems to ensure accurate and timely financial data. The Accounting Manager will collaborate closely with cross-functional partners in a fully remote environment, requiring strong communication and organizational skills. This position expects a balance of leadership and execution, supporting process improvements, maintaining accountability, and contributing directly to the completion of accounting deliverables as business needs evolve. We are targeting a $60-64 an hour for this position.

Required Skills & Experience
3–5 years of people management experience
Proven accounting experience, including finance operations and reporting within a large enterprise organization
CPA certification or actively pursuing CPA
Strong proficiency with SAP or comparable ERP systems (click-and-point systems)
Advanced Excel skills (financial modeling, reporting, reconciliations)
Ability to manage others while remaining hands-on with day-to-day
accounting tasks
Efficient, adaptable, and able to get up to speed quickly
Strong collaboration skills and ability to work cross-functionally in a remote setting
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Background in Construction Accounting and/or Public Accounting (strong plus)
