Job Description
The Director of Applications will lead a team responsible for the development, implementation, and support of software applications, with a strong focus on ERP systems (Epicor Prophet 21). The role balances day-to-day application support with long-term strategic planning aligned to the company’s roadmap. This includes managing internal staff and external consultants, optimizing user experience, and driving operational efficiency.
Key responsibilities include:
Managing a hybrid team (FTE's and contractors) across development and support functions
Leading IT projects from conception to completion
Supporting and improving end-user application processes
Collaborating cross-functionally to align application strategy with business goals
Overseeing vendor relationships and IT budgets
Driving process improvements and documentation standards
The salary is roughly $160,000 + bonus.

Required Skills & Experience
ERP experience (Epicor Prophet 21 preferred)
Leadership and management experience (3–5+ years)
Experience managing a remote workforce
Strong project management and strategic planning capabilities
Ability to hire and manage both FTEs and contractors
Comfortable working in small to mid-sized companies
Skilled in business process analysis and documentation
Strong problem-solving, critical thinking, and decision-making skills
Excellent communication and organization skills
Experience supporting a diverse user base
Ability to work independently and adapt to evolving technologies
Experience with budgeting and vendor management
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience with Epicor modules (Automation Studio, IP&O, Grow, FP&A)
Salesforce (Enterprise Cloud, Service Cloud) experience
Warehouse operations or logistics background
SQL and Quality Management Systems experience
Experience with Visio or similar tools for process mapping
