Job Description

The Senior Quality Control Engineer is responsible for ensuring the integrity, safety, and regulatory compliance of steam turbines, generators, and control systems within a nuclear power plant. This role involves leading quality assurance initiatives, overseeing craft labors responsible for general construction, conducting inspections and audits, and collaborating with engineering and operations teams to maintain high standards in equipment performance and safety.

Key Responsibilities:
Oversee quality control processes for steam turbines, electrical generators, and associated control systems.
Develop and implement quality plans, inspection protocols, and testing procedures in accordance with ASME, IEEE, and NRC standards.
Conduct root cause analyses and corrective action plans for non-conformances.
Lead internal and external audits, including supplier quality assessments.
Collaborate with design, operations, and maintenance teams to ensure compliance with nuclear safety and performance standards.
Maintain documentation and records to support regulatory inspections and licensing requirements.
Provide mentorship and technical guidance to junior quality engineers and technicians.

Required Skills & Experience

Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Quality Engineering, Nuclear Engineering, or applicable degree/years of experience,
10+ years of experience in technical engineering and quality control or quality assurance within the steam, nuclear or power generation industry.
In-depth knowledge of steam turbine and generator systems, including control instrumentation.
Familiarity with nuclear & steam energy plant regulatory standards
Strong analytical, communication, and leadership skills.
