Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quality Engineer with expertise in Oracle technologies to join our team as contractor. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and reliability of our software products, particularly those built on Oracle platforms. The Quality Engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams, including developers, product owners, and system architects, to implement effective testing strategies and ensure the delivery of high-quality software solutions.



Responsibilities:

* Test Planning and Strategy:

* Develop comprehensive test plans that align with project requirements and business objectives.

* Define and implement effective testing strategies for Oracle-based applications.

* Create test strategy

* Test Case Design and Execution:

* Create detailed and well-structured test cases based on functional and technical specifications.

* Execute test cases manually and, when applicable, develop and maintain automated test scripts using tools like Oracle Test Manager or Selenium.

* Write test scripts

* Defect Tracking and Reporting:

* Identify, document, and prioritize software defects using Jira.

* Collaborate with development teams to ensure timely resolution of identified issues.

* Performance Testing:

* Conduct performance testing of Oracle-based applications to ensure optimal system behavior under varying conditions.

* Analyze and report performance test results, identifying areas for improvement.

* Regression Testing:

* Implement and maintain automated regression test suites to validate the stability of software releases.

* Execute regression tests as part of the continuous integration and deployment pipeline.

* Collaboration and Communication:

* Work closely with development teams to understand system architecture, design, and functionality.

* Communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders to report testing progress, issues, and recommendations.

* Documentation:

* Create and maintain documentation related to testing processes, methodologies, and results.

* Develop and update test plans, test cases, and test scripts as needed.

* Knowledge:

* Knowledge of the Oracle solution for POS, KPS, Supply Chain, Payroll, and Payment

Required Skills & Experience

* Knowledge of the Oracle solution for POS, KPS, Supply Chain, Payroll, and Payment

* 7+ years of experience

* Experience in lead / senior role -- the team is small, and this person will create / implement testing strategies

* Oracle Test Manager or Selenium
