An Insight Globa Fortune 500 client is looking for a SDET to contribute to the creation of enterprise software in Retail industry. The SDET's responsibilities include both software development and testing activities and focuses on the testability, robustness, and performance of the software. As such, an SDET is a test professional with advanced programming skills who can create automation testing tools and frameworks to assist the manual testing process. You should have strong communication and organizational skills and have a passion for designing, development, and testing the software.
· Understand the entire system end to end and involve in every step of software development process like designing, development, and testing
· Define and implement test strategy for complex end-to-end systems that comprise the NCR solutions
· Define and build test scenarios and acceptance tests
· Develop and increase unit test coverage
· Define and develop test automation strategy and framework for testing multiple platforms like Web, Mobile and, Desktop by incorporating industry best practices
· Understand the API contracts between cross-products, test and troubleshoot any issues with API definitions
· Implement Test Driven Development and Behavior Driven Development processes
· Create and manage defects
· Investigate customer defects and provide both functional and technical root cause analysis
· Apply engineering principals, data analysis best practice and process knowledge to conduct root cause analysis of functional and non-functional defects
· Provide a detailed root cause analysis for a defect with log evidences to fix the problem and apply the fix
· Analyze the issues using software or application monitoring tools
· Work with DevOps to resolve any system level issues
· Define quality standards and metrics. Work with all stakeholders to ensure that the quality metrics is reviewed, closed and agreed upon
· Collaborate with solution engineers, hardware engineers, software engineers, network engineers and QA engineers.
· Mentor, teach, and coach teams across organization to adopt and use best-in-class test automation practices
Work within the SAFe methodology to implement and / or refine solution integration and test best practices

Bachelors degree in Engineering and 6.5 years of experience and knowledge in testing in an enterprise environment
Familiar with JavaScript and Java
Extensive experience in architecting automation framework solutions for complex enterprise applications using tools like:
Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, CodedUI, Appium
Hands-on expertise in developing BDD feature files using:
Cucumber or Specflow assists.
Hands-on experience on API and Database testing and automation
Experience of working Agile + DevOps process management methodology
Experience with non-functional testing to ensure testing initiatives meet acceptable scalability, reliability and capacity requirements
Hands-on experience on performance testing tools like: -
JMeter, LoadRunner, PerfMon, Fiddler, Wireshark is an added advantage
Good understanding of software architecture with the ability to provide recommendations and strategy for non-functional testing initiatives
Extensive experience with creating frameworks
