Job Description

We are hiring a Senior Manager of Distribution Operations (Process Improvement) to lead enterprise level operational transformation across Specialty Operations.

This is not a traditional PMO, coordination, or governance only role. We are seeking engineering minded, outcome driven leaders who have owned complex operational problems end to end—from diagnosis through design, delivery, and sustained execution—and who can lead teams to deliver scalable, measurable business impact across technology, operations, and training.

If your experience is primarily task tracking or status reporting, this role will not be a fit. If you thrive in ambiguity, lead through influence, design future state operating models, and hold teams accountable for results, this role is built for you.

What You’ll Do
As a Senior Manager, you are accountable for operational outcomes—not just programs or timelines. You will serve as a senior leader and solution owner, responsible for both strategy and execution.

You will:
Leadership & Team Management
• Lead, coach, and develop a team of 3 Program Managers, setting clear expectations, driving accountability, and elevating overall delivery maturity
• Establish standards for execution, problem solving, and stakeholder engagement across the portfolio
• Act as a senior escalation point—removing barriers, making decisions, and ensuring progress in highly complex environments
Operational Strategy & Problem Solving
• Own the identification and resolution of systemic operational, process, and technology gaps across Specialty Operations, including:
o Installation and on demand maintenance
o Logistics, supply chain, and distribution
o Sales adjacent and quote to cash workflows
• Lead deep dive diagnostics to understand root causes—not just symptoms—of performance issues
Future State Design & Operating Models
• Design and implement future state processes and operating models that are scalable, compliant, and sustainable, including:
o End to end process mapping and gap analysis
o Controls, governance, and compliance considerations
o Operating rhythms, decision frameworks, and ownership models
Technology & Cross Functional Partnership
• Partner at a senior level with IT, SAP/ERP teams, Operations, and Change Management to:
o Translate operational strategy into clear system and data requirements
o Drive technology delivery from concept through deployment
o Ensure training, adoption, and change execution are embedded—not treated as afterthoughts
• Serve as the operational voice in technology and product discussions, influencing roadmap decisions
Program & Financial Ownership
• Own complex programs end to end, including:
o Scope definition, prioritization, and sequencing
o Financial accountability and business case ownership
o Timeline, risk, and dependency management
o KPI definition, benefit realization, and performance tracking
• Make trade off decisions to balance speed, cost, risk, and long term value
Execution & Continuous Improvement
• Deploy solutions into live operations and own post launch performance
• Drive continuous improvement cycles to ensure solutions deliver sustained results—not one time wins
• Act as the single owner of outcomes, ensuring initiatives are fully implemented, adopted, and embedded into operations

What Makes This Role Different
• You own the solution end to end—from problem definition through sustained execution
• You design and implement operating models, not just document processes
• You lead both strategy and delivery, operating across product and program models
• You are accountable for results, not activity

$65/hr to $80/hr. - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Required Skills & Experience

7+ years of experience in Product Ownership / Product Management (product experience strongly preferred over purely project/program backgrounds)
Strong understanding of product lifecycle and ability to articulate each stage clearly using industry standards
Hands-on experience delivering products using Agile, Scrum, and hybrid delivery models, with the ability to partner within Waterfall constraints when needed
Strong budget management expertise and ability to remove friction points from budgets managed in waterfall methodology and projects in agile.
Experience in sales strategy, sales enablement, customer journey, or customer-facing product ecosystems
Ability to translate business needs into system and product requirements; familiarity working within SAP/ERP-adjacent environments preferred
Proven ability to influence technical and business stakeholders and navigate ambiguity, urgency, and organizational complexity
Demonstrated ownership of outcomes, not just deliverables
