Job Description

Compensation:
10-15 LPA - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Day to Day Responsibilities

Act as a production support partner alongside the team’s rotational onshore/offshore support engineers
Monitor, triage, and resolve data pipeline and job failures, including:

ETL/ELT job errors
Data quality issues and discrepancies
Upstream/downstream dependency failures


Perform hands-on debugging across data platforms, logs, and orchestration tools
Execute urgent development fixes tied to high‑priority production incidents
Support end‑to‑end incident management, including:

Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
Prevention / no‑repeat action plans
Clear documentation of issue, impact, and resolution


Pair with on‑call engineers to help offload development work, follow up on time‑sensitive issues, and respond to inbound support items
Remain generally available during extended coverage hours (7am–8pm ET) to assist with critical incidents when needed
When production is stable, contribute to KTLO and standard development backlog work alongside the broader engineering team

Required Skills & Experience

Strong data engineering foundation, including:
Advanced SQL
ETL / ELT pipeline development
Experience with cloud data warehouses (BigQuery preferred)
Workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Airflow or similar)


Prior experience in production or operational support roles
Proven ability to debug complex data issues using logs, metrics, and system traces
Experience conducting root cause analysis and documenting incidents clearly and thoroughly
Comfort working in a rotational support model with onshore/offshore teams
Ability to balance urgent production fixes with ongoing development work
Strong communication skills — able to explain technical issues, impact, and resolution clearly

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Direct experience in 24/7 production support environments
Familiarity with incident management frameworks and post‑incident best practices
Experience supporting business‑critical or high‑visibility data pipelines
Background in KTLO/backlog stabilization efforts
Experience partnering closely with platform, infra, or upstream/downstream engineering teams
Comfort joining incident calls during critical situations, even outside standard working hours
