A client of Insight Global is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Software Commissioner to lead the deployment, testing, and integration of warehouse technologies across operational sites. This role is critical in ensuring that Warehouse Execution Systems (WES), Warehouse Control Systems (WCS), and Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) are properly configured, tested, and integrated with third-party platforms. The Software Commissioner will work closely with QA, engineering, and development teams to validate system readiness and troubleshoot issues prior to go-live.
Day to Day:
- Receive systems cleared by QA and coordinate their transition through platform engineering and software commissioning for final testing.
- Implement and integrate WCS and WES technologies into warehouse environments, ensuring seamless functionality.
- Verify system configurations and conduct end-to-end testing between integrated systems.
- Manage integration of WES with third-party platforms and ensure proper connectivity with WMS for inventory processing.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to proactively plan deployment activities while QA testing is in progress.
- Troubleshoot and investigate system issues, escalating to the software development team when necessary.
Develop a deep understanding of how software components interact within the WMS and broader warehouse ecosystem.

Required Skills & Experience
- Entry level
○ Industrial or software engineering background
○ Interested and can be onsite for months at a time (must be onsite)
- Mid-Level - 3 years of experience in the industry
○ Network troubleshooting and investigating the interactions between the WES
○ Database experience
- Sr Level - 5+ years of industry experience in WES
○ Need WES experience (someone with experience with inventory management
○ Integration with ASRS
○ Understand decanting, picking, packing functionality
○ Auto store warehousing background
Database experience
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
- Postgres experience
- Leadership skills in the senior level
