Job Description
The Functional ERP Specialist – Finance is responsible for supporting and enhancing the county’s Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, specifically within the financial modules. This role ensures that financial operations are accurately reflected in the ERP system and that users are equipped to perform their duties efficiently. The specialist serves as a liaison between the Finance Department, IT, and other stakeholders to optimize system functionality and ensure compliance with governmental accounting standards. This role’s function is to maintain the Finance module within their ERP, CGI Advantage to increase efficiency and provide real time access to the finance departments budgets and enable effective control of financial resources.
Functions: Grant Lifecycle Management, Travel and Expense Management, Asset Management, Budget Control, Accounts Payable
Key Responsibilities:
• Configure, maintain, and support ERP financial modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Budgeting, Fixed Assets, and Cash Management.
• Collaborate with finance staff to understand business needs and translate them into ERP solutions.
• Develop and maintain financial reports and dashboards to support decision-making and compliance.
• Assist in data migration, system upgrades, and integration with other platforms (e.g., payroll, procurement).
• Troubleshoot system issues and provide end-user support and training.
• Document business processes, workflows, and system configurations.
• Ensure ERP system compliance with GASB, GAAP, and other relevant regulations.
• Participate in testing and quality assurance for new features and updates.
• Work with IT to manage user roles, permissions, and security settings.
Pay Rate is between 45-50/hr. determined during the interview process by the hiring manager.
This role will require you to go into the office 2 days a week.

Required Skills & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Information Systems, or related field.
• 3+ years of experience with ERP systems in a finance or public sector environment.
• Prior experience working with CGI Advantage – the ERP system used by the public sector.
• Strong understanding of governmental accounting principles, finance, accounts payable, etc.
• Experience with Oracle, SAP, WorkDay.
• Proficiency in financial reporting tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableu).
• Excellent analytical, communication, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively across departments.
