Job Description
Our client is looking for experienced Network Firewall Engineers to support a high‑impact Network Security Operations and Perimeter Security environment. This role is hands‑on, operational, and troubleshooting‑focused, supporting both day‑to‑day production issues and project‑based security initiatives.
The engineer will work closely with a high‑performing network security team responsible for edge firewalls, inbound internet gateways, VPN connectivity, and secure access between the client and external customers, partners, and internet‑facing systems.
This is not a monitoring‑only role — candidates must be comfortable debugging issues end‑to‑end using the command line and owning problems through resolution.
ONSITE REQUIREMENTS: Chennai, Gurgaon, or Hyderabad (5x on site)
Pay Rate based on Experience: $10-15/HR

Required Skills & Experience
7+ years of hands‑on experience F5 Load Balancer (CLI troubleshooting required)
7+ years of hands‑on experience Fortinet / FortiGate Firewall
7+ years of hands‑on experience Cisco ASA Firewall
Strong experience using command‑line interfaces to debug network and security issues
Proven ability to troubleshoot issues end‑to‑end, not just isolate or escalate
Solid understanding of Firewalls and perimeter security
Experience with IPSEC and SSL VPNs
Experience Reverse proxies and secure access
Experience Network traffic flow and packet‑level troubleshooting
Experience supporting external connectivity (customers, partners, internet‑facing systems)
Background in operational network security environments
Nice to Have Skills & Experience
Experience in environments transitioning work from engineering to operations
Exposure to on‑call or high‑availability production environments
Prior experience supporting global or enterprise‑scale networks
