Job Description
One of our clients are looking for Firewall Engineers (2) to support a Network Security project role provides technical support for implementation and changes to our edge firewalls. The Engineer is expected to have a solid understanding of basic network security that consists of the following but is not limited to firewalls, VPN concentrators, SSL-VPN devices, reverse proxies, etc. The individual in this position will focus on network security and connectivity between NCR Voyix and non-NCR Voyix Voyix devices (customers, partners, Internet.) This position will be responsible for front line support for inbound Internet gateway changes in support of secure access into NCR Voyix from a variety of devices – employee-owned, NCR Voyix-owned, and customer owned devices. The team into which the position reports is responsible for working with customers/partners to setup extranet VPNs, oversee intrusion prevention, Web filtering, SSL access, 2-factor remote access, reverse proxy, and other perimeter network security implementations.
Key Responsibilities:
• Review security events and alerts within the monitoring systems.
• Support IPSEC VPN configurations, setups, and troubleshooting.
• Provide support for the Network Perimeter Security Engineering team.
• Maintain, configure, and troubleshoot network security platforms when needed.
• Update technical documentation as needed.
Pay Rate based on Experience: $60-64/HR

Required Skills & Experience
Qualifications and Key Attributes
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, Computer Information Systems, or equivalent education or work experience
• Overall, 5-8 years of experience with at least 4 years of networking and or security experience
• Experience with IP networking, VPNs and firewalling concepts
• Deep understanding of the latest network technologies and security principles.
• In Depth understanding of firewall rules, policies, ports, blocks, and VPN technologies.
• Experience with Fortinet Firewall is must.
• Experience with router and Switches.
• Experience with Secure Remote access like Zscaler ZPA, FortiClient.
• Experience with Network and Security Infrastructure tool (SolarWinds, Thousand Eyes, AlgoSec Policy management and optimization, Automation and Orchestration like Terraform and GitHub, Forti Manager and Forti Analyzer)
