Position Summary: The Distribution Engineer position requires an individual to manage daily engineering work activities in an assigned HQ's area. Primary responsibilities include:
* The candidate's main responsibility is to design, estimate, and coordinate construction of "Capital" and "O&M" power distribution system projects. The projects involve overhead and underground designs to provide electrical service for new business residential, commercial, and industrial customers.
* The successful candidate must provide superior customer service and be able to prepare and schedule construction of jobs to meet committed service dates. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for processing all documentation in accordance with compliance requirements.
* Other duties will include handling customer inquiries such as power outage complaints, voltage complaints, claims and assisting with Distribution Compliance and Asset Management programs.
* The candidate will also participate in the on-call trouble supervision rotation and must be available after business hours for local, out-of-town, and out-of-state trouble and storm restoration (training required).
