A large Higher Education Institute is looking for an experienced Desktop Support consultant to join their Campus Life IT organization in Atlanta, GA.
We are seeking an experienced IT Support Specialist to join our team and provide technical support for both hardware and software issues. This role involves troubleshooting, managing service requests, and ensuring the smooth operation of computer systems and communications devices across the enterprise.
Key Responsibilities:
Technical Support: Troubleshoot and resolve hardware and software issues for users, both remotely and in person, using tools like ServiceNow, SCCM, and remote support solutions (e.g., Bomgar, BeyondTrust).
Incident Management: Log, track, and prioritize incidents in the ServiceNow ticketing system. Ensure timely resolution and proper documentation of all issues.
System Imaging & Software Installation: Perform system imaging, software installations, and reformatting on new equipment.
User Account & Security Management: Assign and manage user permissions using Active Directory and Group Policies. Ensure compliance with security protocols and directory structures.
Equipment & Inventory Management: Maintain and manage the inventory of computers and related equipment. Coordinate the disposal of end-of-life devices and update asset records.
Device Support: Provide support for enterprise communications devices (e.g., Samsung, iPhone), ensuring integration with company networks.
Software Licensing & Compliance: Verify compliance with software licensing agreements and support enterprise-wide software packages.
Collaboration & Communication: Work with other IT teams to resolve issues and ensure high service levels are met. Provide clear communication and a positive experience for users.
Customer Recommendations: Advise users on hardware and software upgrades or purchases to optimize performance and cost efficiency.
Team Participation: Participate in team meetings, training, and IT-related tasks as needed.
Compensation:$25hr to $30hr.
