Job Description

Compensation:
$23/hr to $28/hr. - Exact compensation may vary based on several factors, including skills, experience, and education.

Insight Global is looking to hire Data Center Technicians for a Fortune 100 client in the tech industry. In this role you will be responsible for monitoring software to process business, scientific, engineering, and other data according to operating instructions. You will remove network cables as part of a datacenter decommission, as well as run/label/stage Power & Networking Cables. These folks with follow procedures for preparing, installing, performing diagnostics, troubleshooting, replacing, and/or decommissioning equipment with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads. They will also prepare, stage, set up, and perform basic startups and shutdowns for hardware following written instructions, checklists, guides, standard procedures, and with guidance from Datacenter Technician Leads, as well as perform physical audits of datacenter assets.

Job Responsibilities:
Monitor the system for equipment failure or errors in performance
Respond to program error messages by finding and correcting problems or terminating the program
Help programmers and systems analysts test and debug new programs
Operate spreadsheet programs and other types of software to load and manipulate data and to produce reports

Required Skills & Experience

Associate's degree in computer programming or equivalent training required
2-4 years of data center IT technician experience troubleshooting computer hardware, servers, and components
Basic understanding of how to use Microsoft Office applications (Outlook, Excel, Word)
Flexibility to work non-standard business hours that may include weekends and/or holidays

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

Any IT certifications (ex. CompTIA)
