Our client is looking for a self-motivated, highly experienced Software E to join their applications team to help stand up and maintain and optimize the infrastructure. The DBA is responsible for completing/resolving the 2nd and 3rd level escalation of tickets assigned by the manager. They will be responsible for tasks such as development of best practices and repeatable procedures for deploying databases, day-to-day operational activities including break/fix, capacity management, backup and recovery, database replication setup/management and ongoing database change reviews. The team also builds and maintains large-scale and very high transaction SQL Server databases on Windows Server platforms. This individual will also work in tandem with the other teams, preparing documentations and specifications as required. This will be a hybrid opportunity; the individual will need to be located in the Budapest, Hungary.

Strong proficiency in SQL Server database management and administration including with large scale SQL Server databases.
Hands on experience implementing and maintaining:
- Microsoft Windows Server Systems 2019+
- Building availability groups
- Active Directory
- Group policy management
- SQL Server DBA Admin including back ups, recoveries, and maintenance
- Documentation - creating standardized processes/best practices of how to create these systems
- Clustering
- Fail over testing
- Helping 1st level support team in Budapest
- Jira
