Job Description
- Maintain and enhance the preinstall framework (Linux, Kubernetes, Docker, GitLab CI/CD, Nexus)
- Manage base vs. customer-specific repositories
- Develop and version system building blocks ("bricks") as packages
- Build and maintain GitLab pipelines with automated testing and code quality checks
- Support complex versioning strategies (prod, UAT, hotfixes, service packs, customer releases)
- Automate builds, validations, and environment setups
- Handle customer-specific configurations while preserving base setups
- Ensure configurations are validated, documented, and secure
- Support and harden OS-level configurations for security and reliability
- Monitor, troubleshoot, and optimize Linux environments
- Collaborate closely with developers and testers

Required Skills & Experience
- Degree in IT from a technical college or university
- 4+ years of relevant professional experience with Manuel DevOps experience
- Proficient in Docker, Kubernetes, and scripting (Bash, Python, PowerShell)
- Strong Linux system administration skills (networking, firewall, SSH, GRUB, etc.)
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (GitLab preferred)
- Skilled in scripting and configuration formats (Bash, JSON/YAML, Python)
- Understanding of enterprise versioning/branching strategies
- Familiar with test automation, static code analysis (e.g., SonarQube), and package repositories (Nexus/Artifactory)
