Job Description

We are seeking a Data/BI Engineer to support the analytics strategy behind customer-facing AI and chatbot experiences. This role will be responsible for designing and maintaining scalable data pipelines, building semantic layers, and developing executive-ready dashboards and insights that measure customer engagement, chatbot effectiveness, transaction outcomes, and overall customer experience. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in SQL, Python, and modern data engineering technologies such as BigQuery, Airflow, and GitLab, along with hands-on experience using BI platforms such as Looker. This position will partner closely with AI developers, chatbot product teams, and business stakeholders to analyze customer behavior, demographics, device usage, retention trends, and conversational interactions, helping determine whether AI-driven experiences are delivering positive customer outcomes. Success in this role requires the ability to transform complex data into actionable insights through both traditional reporting and emerging conversational analytics interfaces, while supporting executive leadership and operational teams with data-driven decision making.

Required Skills & Experience

-6+ years of BI engineering & visualization experience with Looker & dashboard development.
-Strong data engineering experience building, maintaining and optimizing large-scale data pipelines.
-Advanced Python skills for data processing and SQL & data modeling skills transforming complex datasets into scalable reporting & analytics solutions.
-Hands-on experience designing semantic layers, business metrics, and data models.
-Experience with modern data tech stack experience working in a GCP environment with technologies such as BigQuery, Airflow, and Gitlab.
-Exceptional communication and storytelling skills with the ability to translate complex data into clear, actionable recommendations for executive leadership and technical teams.

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

-Experience with Conversational AI analytics measuring chatbot performance, customer journeys, containment rates, transaction outcomes, escalation patterns, and customer experience metrics.
