Med Surg RN

• A client in the Zephyrhills, FL area is looking for a Med Surg RN for a contract to hire opportunity . This candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive care to adult patients recovering from surgery or managing acute and chronic medical conditions. Your day typically begins with receiving detailed handoff reports and conducting thorough patient assessments to establish clinical baselines. Your day will consist of administering medications, manage wound care, monitor vital signs, and interpret lab results while maintaining meticulous documentation in digital health records. Collaboration is key—you work closely with physicians, therapists, and care coordinators to develop and implement individualized care plans. You will also provide patient and family education on treatment regimens, post-discharge care, and wellness strategies. This dynamic environment demands strong clinical judgment, time management, and communication skills to ensure optimal patient outcomes and a seamless care experience across the continuum of care.

• Registered Nurse FL License
• 2+ years of experience in Med-Surg, or ER, or ICU, or Acute Care
• Basic Life Support for Healthcare providers (AHA) or CPR/AED for the Professional Rescuer (American Red Cross) or the ability to obtain within 90 days of employment
• Experience with any EHR system (Epic preferred)
• Associate or bachelor’s degree in science

• Proficiency in IV insertion, wound care
• Strong critical thinking and clinical judgment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to remain calm under pressure and manage emergencies
