Job Description
JOB SUMMARY:
The Sr. Manager Billing and Cash Management is responsible for overseeing accurate and timely billing processes and managing cash flow activities to ensure optimal liquidity and compliance with company policies. This role combines operational leadership with strategic oversight, ensuring efficient invoice generation, payment processing, and cash application while driving process improvements and supporting global financial objectives.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Billing Operations
Manage end-to-end billing processes for high-volume transactions across multiple regions.
Ensure invoices comply with contractual terms, duties & tax regulations, and internal policies.
Review and approve billing adjustments, credits, and refunds.
Cash Management
Monitor daily cash positions and ensure timely application of customer payments.
Optimize cash flow through effective forecasting and reconciliation.
Coordinate with Treasury and Finance teams to manage liquidity and banking relationships.
Process Improvement
Identify inefficiencies and implement automation and best practices for billing and cash management.
Partner with IT and Global Finance teams to enhance ERP systems and reporting tools.
Compliance & Governance
Ensure adherence to external audit requirements, and internal financial policies.
Maintain accurate documentation for all billing and cash transactions.
Reporting & Analysis
Prepare and analyze billing and cash flow reports for senior management.
Track KPIs such as billing accuracy, DSO, cash application timeliness, and reconciliation metrics.
Team Leadership
Manage and develop a team of billing and cash application specialists.
Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
This role pays between $100,000-140,000

Required Skills & Experience
EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in finance, Accounting, or related field.
7+ years of experience in billing and cash management
5+ years in a leadership role.
REQUIREMENTS/SKILLS:
Strong knowledge SAP ERP and financial processes.
Excellent analytical, organizational, and communication skills.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in logistics, e-commerce, or transportation industry.
Familiarity with international billing regulations and multi-currency transactions.
Advanced Excel and financial analysis capabilities.
