Job Description

Insight Global is seeking an experienced Construction Field Representative to support a county’s portfolio of renovation and new construction projects. This individual will serve as the on-site liaison between contractors, project managers, and county stakeholders to ensure projects are progressing according to plan, meeting quality standards, and remaining compliant with applicable codes and regulations.
This role is primarily a standard Monday–Friday schedule, with occasional night or weekend work required to support critical project milestones or off-hours construction activities.

Key Responsibilities:

- Monitor daily construction activities across multiple renovation and ground-up projects to ensure alignment with plans, specifications, and schedules
- Conduct site inspections and field observations to verify workmanship, materials, and installation meet project standards and applicable codes
- Prepare and maintain detailed daily reports, documenting progress, issues, and field conditions for stakeholders and project teams
- Utilize construction management software (e.g., Procore, eBuilder, Bluebeam, or equivalent) to track project updates, documentation, and workflows
- Serve as a point of contact between contractors, county representatives, engineers, and inspectors to ensure clear communication and issue resolution
- Review project documentation including drawings, RFIs, submittals, and change orders for accuracy and completeness
- Support code compliance and regulatory adherence, ensuring all work aligns with county, state, and federal requirements
- Identify and escalate quality, safety, or schedule risks proactively
- Assist with punch walks, closeout documentation, and turnover activities
- Track and report on construction progress, milestones, and completion status

Required Skills & Experience

- 3–7+ years of experience in construction field inspection, construction management, or related field
- Hands-on experience supporting renovation and new construction projects (public sector or municipal preferred)
- Proficiency with construction management software platforms (Procore, eBuilder, Primavera, etc.)
- Strong ability to document field activity and produce clear, concise reports
- Working knowledge of construction practices, building systems, and maintenance principles (mechanical, electrical, structural, and/or civil)
- Experience ensuring compliance with building codes, safety standards, and regulatory policies
- Ability to interpret construction drawings, specifications, and contracts
- Strong communication skills with the ability to interact across contractors, engineers, and public stakeholders

Nice to Have Skills & Experience

- Experience working with county, municipal, or public-sector construction projects
- Background in facilities, building systems maintenance, or lifecycle asset management
- Certifications such as NICET, OSHA, ICC Inspector, or similar
- Exposure to capital improvement programs (CIP) or multi-site project portfolios
