Insight Global is looking for a Structural Plans Reviewer to support an industry leading engineering solutions company. This individual will be supporting the companies Building and Safety Division to examine plans and specifications for building and structures for compliance with all code requirements for the following design elements: structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety. An ideal candidate will have experience reviewing plans with other public agencies and itemizing required corrections and modifications and explains them to permit applicants. Additional responsibilities will be submitting status reports to Building Officials, answering questions related to plans and permitting to the public jurisdictional building counters, and authorizing the issue of building permits for plans to meet code and ordinance requirements and supervising a team of plan examiners and plan check engineers. This will be an on-site position in Venice, FL.

- 5+ years of Structural Plans Reviewing experience in Florida
- Thorough knowledge of building codes and regulations
- Experience checking most of the following design elements: structural, mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire/life safety
- Standard Plan Examiner License in the State of Florida
CFM (Certified Floodplain Manager)
